Eat to Beat Disease will completely change the way you think about the food you eat and what it does to your body. Dr. William W Li is a leading physician in angiogenesis, the study of how human bodies grow and maintain blood vessels. When a body loses its control of blood vessels, a wide range of diseases can arise, including cancer. In Eat to Beat Disease, Dr. Li explains the human body's five defense systems and how eating disease-fighting foods allows your body to heal. Dr. Li says there is no "silver bullet" for any one disease or for overall health and longevity, but there is a way to boost our own defense systems so the body will heal itself. Eat to Beat Disease will guide readers to understand that there are many amazing health-promoting foods, and simply adding just five of them a day will have a substantial impact on immunity and longevity.

Learning about the human body and how to have optimal health has been on my mind a lot recently, as I’m sure it has been for many people. I have read several diet books in the past and tried various diets myself, but this book is not describing a diet; rather a guideline on the healthiest foods to eat. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a guide on what foods heal the body and allow the body to get the appropriate nourishment.
