We are preparing the building to reopen to the public for a few days a week starting mid- to late-September. The library has new capacity limits so that we can maintain social distancing, and wearing masks or face coverings will be required. Virtual programming, curbside pick-up, and outside services will continue. Stay tuned for details!

Islam 101

Syed Hassan Jafri will visit the Library over Zoom on Wednesday, September 2nd, to present his Islam 101 introductory course. This presentation will cover the basics of the Islam religion, including Islamic beliefs, faith systems, prayers, prophets, and more.

Hassan is the current President and a permanent member of the Board of Directors at the Islamic Society of Greater Lowell and a member of the Board of Trustees at the Islamic Society of Greater Nashua. He holds bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering and physics and mathematics and a master's degree in business management.

Hassan was born and raised in Pakistan before emigrating to the US in 1992. He currently resides in Nashua, where he has been involved with interfaith collaboration and outreach to various faith organizations and has presented at various local schools, churches, and colleges.

All who attended this program are encouraged to complete this short survey.
