The Wastewater Division of Public Works is seeking a Mechanic II to perform highly skilled tasks in the preventive maintenance and repair of pumps, compressors, electric motors, valves, and heavy duty vehicles.
Minimum Requirements: 3 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment and a valid CDL-B with Air Brakes and Tank endorsements. Require HS Diploma or GED.
Normal work schedule is Tuesday though Saturday 7:00am to 3:00pm. Starting rate up to $26.83 per hour, DOE. The Town currently pays 100% of the health, life, and short-term disability insurance premiums. Includes paid vacation, sick, and personal leave, and participation in the NH Retirement System.
The successful candidate will undergo a complete background check including reference checks, criminal and driving record checks, and, if CDL license, pre-employment drug and alcohol testing (CDL) prior to final offer of employment.
