The library building will be closed to the public until further notice but our book drops are open as we gradually begin our phased re-opening plan. Thanks for your continued patience.

NEW! Teen Dungeons & Dragons - Online Meeting

Come join us for an evening of Dungeons & Dragons, the classic fantasy role-playing game! Step into a world of swords and sorcery and forge your own story through imagination, teamwork, and the luck of the dice.

New and experienced players both welcome! We will cover the basics of the game up front, but our goal is to jump into playing as quickly as possible so players can learn by doing.

Writers' Group via ZOOM

During the COVID-19 building closure, the Library's Writers' Group will be meeting virtually. This is an informal gathering where you can discuss what you are working on, what you are reading, where you are submitting your work, and more. We are currently discussing Your Book Starts Here by Mary Carroll Moore to learn more about the parts of a novel.

We'll celebrate the end of summer reading with a murder mystery dinner party! We'll host it virtually, but we'll distribute scripts, props, and other information ahead of time. Snacks and costumes encouraged but not required. More details coming soon!

This event is for teens ages 13 - 18. Please make sure you register using a valid email so we can arrange pick-up for supplies and send out the meeting link.

Slime Time! (Virtual Session)

Back by popular demand! Join us Friday, August 7 at 2 PM via video call to make your own slimes!

Slime-making materials will be distributed curbside in the week leading up to the program, so that we can all meet on Friday to share the gooey, messy experience. Find a spot outside (or a tile floor, if possible), wear your messy clothes, and join Miss Cathy for what is sure to be a great time.

This program is for tweens ages 8 - 13. Please be sure to include a valid email when you register so we can arrange material pick-up and send out the meeting link!

Create Your Story - Bookmaking for Teens

Learn how to make your own notebooks and journals!

Here's what you'll need:

Waxed thread - this is a type of thread coated in beeswax that bookbinders use, but you can use embroidery floss, regular thread, or even dental floss

Paper - this can be any paper you want to use, but be warned, if you use lined paper, the lines will probably end up running the wrong way

Needle - whatever needle you have, as long as you can thread your floss material
