Town's 275th Anniversary Event: Hand-carved Windsor Chair Demo with Charles "Chuck" Mower

As part of the celebration of the Town's 275th Anniversary, we're delighted to host master craftsman and Merrimack resident, Charles "Chuck" Mower, as he transforms our parking lot into an open-air woodshop! Stop by during this week-long demonstration of the process of hand-carving a Windsor chair.

Mr. Mower is a traditional skills artist who makes Windsor chairs in the original manner.  His work can be found in the Merrimack Public Library, homes across the United states and the American Independence Museum.  He will be building a chair from Log to finish using simple tools of a bygone age to celebrate our 275th birthday.  Please stop by and learn how it used to be done.

Mr. Mower will be working under one of the library's canopies from 9-4 each day, beginning Friday, May 28th. The process should take about a week to complete.
