*Our April meeting will be a hybrid meeting; if you would like to attend in-person, please join us in the Lowell Room. If you would like to attend via Zoom, please email Yvette at email@example.com to receive the Zoom meeting information. Please register.*
This is an informal gathering where you can discuss what you're working on, what you're reading, where you're submitting your work, and more. Many of us have participated in November's National Novel Writing Month and would like to continue to improve our writing in a supportive environment.
We've been reading and discussing a variety of authors featured in The Art of the Short Story: 52 Great Authors, Their Best Short Fiction, and Their Insights on Writing by Dana Gioia and R.S. Gwynn. What can we learn and apply to our own WIPs if we study great authors? For April, please read The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka and Roman Fever by Edith Wharton. We'll also read any pieces that have been uploaded to our Google Drive.
Copies of this book are available through a generous program grant from DCU for "programs that make a difference in our community." Please email Yvette at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a free copy of The Art of the Short Story and a link to our Google Drive.
